I really got better sleep with Nightfall kratom. It is what I take every night before bed.

  2. 2 out of 5

Let me preface this by saying that I’ve taken kratom daily for 3 years now and have tried most every strain and quality — from gas station and head shop powder and extracts to different online vendors including ETHA.

I got this blend because of the reviews as well as because the first time I bought from this vendor, I was please with the quality. I also like that they’re forthright about lab tests and Mitragynine and 7OH-M content.

I was pretty disappointed when I tried this blend, though. The first night I took it, I wondered why I still wasn’t feeling any effects from my standard dose an hour later. I looked on the back of the bag for the Mitragynine and 7OH-M content and found out why. 0.01% Mitragynine and 0.004% 7OH-M.

In case you aren’t sure what those percentage points mean, I’ll translate. Standard Mitragynine and 7OH-M content is 1.5% and 0.03% respectively. At least in my experience. So you can see where I’m getting at. I was pretty disappointed to find out I’d paid for a premium product when I’ve paid less for more quantity and quality at a gas station.

This said, keep in mind that kratom blends can vary in potency and even within individual batches. I must have gotten the unlucky corner that didn’t get blended well enough with the more potent part of the batch. Nevertheless, wanted to put in my two cents (considering I paid $40 for it lol).

    • Thanks so much for your feedback. To clarify, kratom has over 40+ alkaloids in it. Our NightFall blend is purposely blended to have as little mitragynine in it. That is because mitragynine is a vasodilator which can increase blood and oxygen flow giving people more energy. Our NightFall blend is intended to help people relax and release tension. Instead of mitragynine, we select and blend harvests with higher concentrations of muscle relaxer alkaloids like paynantheine and speciogynine. If you are looking for high mitragynine, go with our Maeng Da blend. That will give you what you seek. ETHA is the only company in the world doing this level of alkaloid testing and blending for specific benefits. We hope this clarifies things.

This info is very helpful. I was also very curious about the mitra and 7-ohm content. Now I know why, you want to bring out the lesser alkaloids to give us something different from the average Kratom. You are doing us a great service by giving us options and explanations. I am curious about what you mean when you say you “blend” it to make nightfall. What does this mean and how do you create low mitra Kratom? I want to know what causes these differences in alkaloids. From the research I’ve done, it looks like the drying process is what produces differing alkaloid contents. Are you just testing the batches from your I do suppliers and blending accordingly? And do you know the mechanism behind what creates the differing alkaloid contents in the batches you get?

        • Thanks for reaching out. What we do is source different kratom harvests across several regions. We bring all of them to our ETHA Lab in Southern California. From there, we measure the alkaloid profiles of each harvest. We use this data to blend the different harvests to make each of our ETHA kratom product lines. Sometimes we are lucky and a single harvest has the right profile for one of our product lines like NightFall. But most of the time, it requires us blending a couple different harvests to make the profiles our customers appreciate. In terms of what is resulting in the different alkaloid profiles, we continue to do research on the topic. As you can imagine, it is many different factors. We wish it was as simple as the drying process. Several Indonesian farmers/harvesters claim the drying process impacts the alkaloids. We’ve done lab testing on single harvests that have gone through different drying processes like drying single leaves on a line, drying indoors with fans, leaving the leaves out to dry under the sun in batches, and we have found little difference in the alkaloids. So, we do not have evidence that the drying process does anything significant to the alkaloids. That being said, we have seen that our pasteurization process, which involves some drying, does increase some of the alkaloids, but that is still being researched by our team. We hope this information is helpful. Thank you for your support. Live Fully!

I know this is called Nightfall, but I like to use this blend for my headaches. I get bad tension headaches. Something to do with tightness in my neck and back. I take nightfall and it goes away. Not noticing anything in terms of sleep. Headache relief is more important to me anyway. Etha, you should add in that this blend helps with tension headaches.

Finally getting some quality sleep without prescription drugs. Nightfall has changed my life!

Love Etha’s lab testing and consistency. Finally a kratom that helps me sleep. I think I like the Full Spectrum more, but this is a good one too.

When I use to get kratom from the local shop or through other online vendors, it can sometimes keep me up. I already have a hard time sleeping. This Nightfall blend is a blessing! My pain goes away AND i can sleep. Never going to use any other blend or vendor again.
