How Much Kratom to Use

How Much Kratom to Use?

To answer the question of how much kratom to use, two very important facts must always be kept in mind:

  1. Every person metabolizes food and herbal botanicals differently.
  2. Every harvest varies.

At ETHA Natural Botanicals, our mission is to provide transparency and scientific lab results so our customers can make informed decisions and achieve desired results. This helps with the variations in alkaloid content that happens in every kratom harvest.

Self-Titrate

Self-Titration is the process used by our internal ETHA Team to determine how much kratom is right for us. To self-titrate is to gradually adjust the amount, while noting the interim results, to reach the desired effect. The three important pillars to stick by to achieve success are:

  • Personal Responsibility
  • Self-Experimentation
  • Body Awareness

Your Turn To Self-Titrate

To start, use the percentage of mitragynine (%) labeled on your ETHA Product package as your reference point.  The average starting point is usually 4-5 tablets or 1.2-1.5 grams (1/3 teaspoon) when using an ETHA premium blend.  If you believe you are sensitive, start off lower like 2-3 tablets or 600-900 milligrams.  Once consumed, add about 2 tablets (600 milligrams) every fifteen (15) or thirty (30) minutes until the desired relief/effect is felt. Depending on what you are hoping to achieve with kratom, your amount could be anywhere from the initial 4-5 tablets to 16 tablets (1.2-5 grams).  Not recommended to exceed 20 grams a day. Typically, the effects last 4-10 hours.

Make sure you take great notes on your experience, so you are even better informed next time around!

We at ETHA pride ourselves on the consistency of our unique ETHA Premium Blends. Once you determine the amount of kratom that is right for you, you may find both the amount of kratom you use and the desired effect will remain consistent for years to come.

Do you swallow the tablets like a pill? I have no idea how to take them.

Hi Lacy. Thanks for reaching out. Traditionally, people use kratom in teas. The tablets make measuring very easy. Others take the tablets directly with water. Please share your experience once you’ve tried your ETHA kratom. Live Fully!

Could you please tell me when using the powder how many teaspoons would be a starter equal to 2 tablets. I have a highly sensitive system and want to start low. Thank you.

Good question Suzanne. Each tablet is 300 milligrams so 600 milligrams of powder is equal to two tablets. We suggest checking out our blog about dosing for more information – https://ethanaturals.com/how-much-kratom-to-use/

I keep on hearing contradicting statements from reputable kratom companies as it relates to strains. without mentioning any other names.
There is an owner of a certain company that is very upfront about where most of their supply comes from And saying that almost all companies get it from the same Indonesia Yet companies still use the marketing names of Bally in Borneo and Bs
Also talks about strains being more or less just a shade and color of the powder that’s coming in and that most companies call the darker shades red, The medium shades yellow, and the lighter shades white.
He also went on to be very candid by saying that there’s no way companies are going to have the expansive And Expensive outlet of laboratories to be able to test every single shade,
and that they are just sussed out according to how dark or light it is
and people have either a placebo effect thinking that the so-called strain is actually Providing a different purpose.
he said it just simply doesn’t exist and that it’s just been created for marketing purposes.
I credit him for his candidness in light of the potential compromise.
    Your thoughts are welcome:)

There is some truth in what that vendor is saying. Most of the terms associated with kratom are simply marketing and used by harvesters to sell to vendors in the USA. They do not correlate to any actual differences in terms of benefits. He is also right when he says lab testing can be very expensive. To our knowledge, no company in the world is lab measuring every harvest and using the data to make unique blends like the way ETHA Natural Botanicals does it. This is for two reasons: They do not have the lab capabilities and the cost is high. At ETHA, we manage our own labs as well as partnerships with several 3rd-party labs focused on measuring the different alkaloids in kratom. Because ETHA manages our own labs and have a team pushing on the forefront of kratom research, we can fully analyze kratom. So for example, when ETHA gets a harvest with higher percentages of muscle relaxer alkaloids, we use those harvests to make our SunSet and NightFall blends. When we have higher concentrations of vasodilator alkaloids, we make our Maeng Da, SunRise, and WorkOut blends. So, while the names of the kratom coming out of Indonesia do not have much meaning and should definitely NOT be used to determine what kratom is right for you, there are definitely different benefits with different harvests (not placebo). You have to measure the alkaloids in the kratom to know what you are truly getting and using the data to make your products. That’s what ETHA does. That’s why our products are more expensive, but also more consistent, reliable, and actually have different benefits depending on the blend you purchase. This is the ETHA difference. Live Fully!

I’m very excited to try my sunrise blend. I have been taking kratom 4/5 times daily for about three years. I initially took around 7/8 grams for each dose. Now i only take a out 3/4 grams each dose. The most variance is based on potency, so im looking forward to trying Etha tablets and seeing how well they work! Im super excited!

Can you explain the difference between the pure strains & the blends please? I am looking to get support for my fibromyalgia symptoms: Chronic muscle cramping & pain, joint pain, nerve pain, IBS, fatigue, depression, sleep disturbances….
    Thank you for you input.
    Sincerely,

Great question. Our pure veins are directly made from our harvests after lab testing and pasteurization. Our premium blends get an additional step where we use the lab results from alkaloid measurements to make our blends based on our unique recipes. This means our blends are more consistent. So when you buy SunRise, you’re getting kratom with higher mitragynine (pain and blood flow) mixed with a little kratom with higher speciogynine and paynantheine (muscle relaxers and inflammation). No other company measures alkaloid content and uses the data to make consistent blends. This is one of the reasons why ETHA is the most trusted source for botanicals like kratom. Hope this answers your question.
